Ford AWD
Reason for Recall: Driveshaft Separation Due to Loose, Missing, or fractured bolts.
The Ford AWD is one of the Latest Car recalls in 2021, and the identified safety concern is not exactly new. Customers of the 2020 model have placed several warranty calls on bolts issues at the driveshaft transition. This concern was first reported for the 2019 model, which forced the company to call back 300,000 units.
As of December 24th this year, the company has called 4548 units of the more recent model based on fillings on the fillings with NHTSA. The car company first noticed the issue following increased complaints from customers about loose and missing bolts that connect the driveshaft to the Transfer Case Constant Velocity Joint.
The company concern Review Group agreed that his complaints were the same as those filed in 2019 and 2020. The recent complaints were filled in on June 9th, 2021. From August to December 24th, Ford has received 50 reports on warranty issues on the 2020 model, and 22 of them were on driveshaft separation. The company has called over 4540 units on its own, and it is possible that there may be more recalls before the ned of the year.

The Hyundai Ioniq EV is among the Latest Car recalls in 2021. The good thing, though, is that the models with defects are in the USA, making it very easy to track. The issue with some units of the 2021 model is the possibility of an Unintended acceleration occurring despite the Fail-safe mode being activated.
The model is a zero-emission electricity car and comes with the smart safe-fail mode. For the ideal unit, the safe-fail mode activates when there is a concern, and the car speed starts to decelerate, including the total power output. However, some defectives, which Hyundai and NHTSA confirmed to be just 1% of the total output of the 2021 model, may accelerate themselves when drivers release the accelerator pedal.
The NHTSA states that this unplanned acceleration increases the chances of a crash, and a recall was necessary for the defectives.
